There are a limited number of boxes available for new members, and they will be assigned to qualified applicants in the order that applications are received.
The School Park Community Food Garden
Where the people of Auburn work and learn together to produce healthy and fresh food for their families and the community.
The School Park Community Food Garden is an organic food gardening community based on creating a sustainable growing space that encompasses education, health, nutrition and enthusiasm with the Auburn Community.
The garden includes 26 above-ground redwood planter boxes, each 12’ x 4’, available for use by community organizations and individuals.
Where is it?
The School Park Preserve is located at 55 College Way, in historic Auburn, California. The park grounds were originally part of Auburn Grammar School, which was later converted to Auburn City Hall at 1225 Lincoln Way. In the middle of the School Park Preserve is the Cooper Amphitheater, and up the stairs to the north of the amphitheater and to the right you will find the Community Garden. The parking lot behind City Hall and the Auburn Police Station can be used for handicapped access or drop-off purposes.
